Will my Alberta dental/medical insurance work in BC?

I'm from British Columbia, but work in Alberta. I have a dental/medical plan with my Alberta employer, but I get dental work done when I come home to BC. Will my Alberta insurance cover dental work down in BC by my family dentist? Thank you for your time.

Check with your dentist - they can run the plan number and let you know if it will be accepted before you get the work done. Most plans have a provision for out of province coverage. If it's through Blue Cross, it will definitely work.

Mom told me I can get a dental plan for $20/month. Seriously? Where can I find a $20/month dental insurance?

I don't think she knows what she's talking about. I thought the lowest was like $200/month. I'm from Kansas, so states may have something to do with what dental insurance is available. So, how would I be eligible for the cheapest dental insurance?

healthplans.my-age.net - my family have this health insurance. It is affordable and has good coverage for dental issues.

Does BCBS PPO dental insurance cover teeth whitening?

Would my insurance help me out at all with teeth whitening? I really need them done but it is kind of expensive.
--------------------
No dental insurance covers teeth whitening, they all consider it a cosmetic and unnecessary procedure.

I am moving to Utah and I am wondering what are some of the more reputable dental insurance companies there?

I am looking for an individual plan, just for my family.

Try Delta Dental and Blue Cross, those two are pretty good.

have no dental insurance and need to have a ranula removed?

any suggestions as to how much the entire proedure would cost? also, is there any alternative payment options that dont involve credit....this is an emergency as it is causing swelling of my face and slurred speech

Check to see if there is a dental collage around, usually you can have discounted procedures done. Dental issues are BIG issues which could lead to heart or other problems! What is a ranula?

Does anyone know from whom to Purchase Dental Insurance?

I am a retiree and dental insurance is not provided beyond the age of 65....
--------------------
What I would start with is calling a couple of dentists and just asking them which plans they take. Also, which discount plans they take. Then you can call some of the more popular ones and find out what the cost would be. I find that most people who buy thier own plans get stuck with not finding doctors who accept them. When last I had a dental appointment I remember seeing a dental plan advertised in the waiting area for individual purchase.
