If I started a plan with Western Dental already then get dental insurance would it help out?

I started a plan with Western Dental when I got my cavities filled and have been paying $120 a month for it (no thanks to my Mom) because I have no insurance. Now that I got a promotion at my job I can get some dental insurance. Would getting dental insurance at this time help take out a chunk of my current bill with Western Dental? If not, should I still get dental insurance since I will be needing braces? (Defiantly won't be going back with WD though.)

no. it will not cover any service done prior to getting the coverage. most plans do not cover braces. check with your benefit rep or h r department.

13+ Cavities. I have dental insurance, but no money. HELP.?

I've been suffering from tooth decay since i was little. I brush and floss constantly but i always have cavities. My family is deep in dept and we have no money to take me to a dentist. I have dental insurance through my dads work, but no money to pay what it doesn't cover. I have over 13 cavities and i've recently started experiencing pain in one side of my mouth. Is there any place that i can go? Most places that offer low income or free dental care require you to have no insurance. Which i have. Or require you to have a low enough income, which my dad may exceed. Like i said, we're in deep debt. I may need one or more root canals along with fillings. Please, someone help. I'm in pain. Dental schools wont work. I can not arrange a ride to get there and back and i don't even know if they'll accept me. They also require you to submit an application, which can take up to THREE months to be looked over. I don't have that kind of time. I live in Cartersville, GA. I'm willing to drive to Atlanta if thats what it takes.

idk how old you are, but either you or your parents can get CARE CREDIT card. its a kinda like a normal credit card, but with higher limits, no interest, and VERY LOW monthly payments. i got it for my braces and i have horrible credit. and i mean horrible. my braces cost 4,500 after insurance, and my monthly payment is only $60.00. heres a link to it. www.carecredit.com

Best place to get Dental Insurance ??? Need help please!?

Well, now that I work for myself I need to find a good place for medical and dental insurance, I need dental asap because i have a cavity I think and i want it taken care of.. So are there any good places online that have very good coverage ( like 50%+ ) cuz im gonna also have to get my wisdoms pulled soon as well.. I have no money and no insurance ***DENTAL***?

I had two teeth that were both in need of a root canal. I could only afford to have one tooth taken care of, they put me on Care Credit and I am paying that off gradually each month. Now the other tooth is acting up and this morning I woke up with some swelling around the face. This tooth also has an abscess, I have no money and I also have no insurance and I don't know what to do now. There are no dental schools in the area, 1800Dentist acctually told me that they have no idea what I should do, and when I try to sign up for dental insurance I get the run around pretty hardcore. I was in the military, but the VA says that they will not work on your teeth unless that was the reason you were released from duty. Which it wasn't, i served my full time. Shouldn't it be easier for a veteran to get dental coverage! Anyway, no one will help me and I am this close to just preforming some sort of dentistry on myself. What should I do?

How much does dental insurance cover for wisdom tooth removal?

How much of the total fees will my dental insurance cover for getting a couple wisdom teeth taken out? I know it can vary, but I would like a ballpark estimate. I know it's 150 per tooth for a normal extraction before insurance, which isn't horrible... but it's twice as much if it requires a surgical removal. Which leads me to another question. When do they do surgical removals? Do the teeth have to be impacted? Mine are not impacted, but they are party covered by gums in the back (which is causing the pain that makes me want them removed). It still looks like they could get a grip on them though.

Your medical insurance may also cover the costs of getting them out. It would say, "surgical removal of impacted wisdom teeth". It sounds like you fall in this category. Good luck.

Where can i find cheap dental work in Southern California?

I'm under the age of 18 and my parents have horrible dental insurance. Their dental insurance covers less than 10%. I need to find a place that has rather cheap dental work, but not at a dental school. (I need a lot of work done). Thanks.
