Should I get dental insurance for one filling/root canal?

I seem to have a cavity between 2 teeth in the back. Would it be cheaper if I got dental insurance or should I just go ahead and pay out of pocket? How much will it probably cost without insurance?

I would encourage a visit to this site: www.healthsavings.ourperfectcard.com I signed up online over 5 years ago now and they have saved me thousands since. My white filling only cost me $60 or silver for $45. From cleanings, xrays...etc. All services are included in this very affordable plan. They even had my benefits active in 2 hours and was able to use it the very same day.
