Is it possible to get affordable life insurance and dental insurance if i am not employed?

.........and if so, roughly how much money would this cost per month?
--------------------
Well, it's not possible to have affordable RENT and UTILITIES if you're not employed!! So. Life insurance depends on your age and health. If you're healthy and 30, you can get 20 year term, $250,000 for about $150 a year. You can use this site to compare life insures company at your site http://free-best-life-insures-comparator-usa.blogspot.com/ Private dental insurance is different, though. I've never seen a plan where they pay out more than they take in. There are LOTS of loopholes - limitations of coverage, massive copays, and waiting periods, so you're better off paying for dental stuff out of pocket.

Dental Insurance coverage, Who has the best plan?

I have a problem right now with my teeth, need two root canal and 7 cavities, which the dentist estimate in $2100. Should i get a dental insurance and which? Blue Cross, Delta Dental.... or suggestions.
--------------------
Don't bother. I've never seen a dental plan that pays out more than it costs. Between coverage limits, waiting periods, and coinsurance, you're best off just working out a plan on your own with your dentist, OR, going to a local dental school.

Is dental insurance a good option?

I am a college student, I work part time and have no medical insurance at all. I would love to go the dentist but with the current prices I can't even think about it. I've heard about dental insurance, but I have no idea what's the best one out there. I need a root canal and regular cleanings so it has to be something that can cover that or at least a good portion of that. Are you guys familiar with dental insu do you know any good options? Thanks in advance
--------------------
I would encourage you to visit this great site: www.healthsavings.ourperfectcard.com I signed up online over 5 years ago now when I was in college and needed some type of affordable coverage. They have saved me thousands of dollars over the years. From Cleanings, extractions, xrays, filling, root canals...etc. all services are included in this very affordable plan. Though prices may be different where you live, but the savings are still incredible. They even had my plan active in 2 hours and was able to use them the very same day. Good luck and hope this helps.

does anyone have ehealthplus dental insurance?

I am looking into a dental insurance and someone recommended ehealthplus. I looked at their website and i liked what I read. Now im just looking for a second opinion.
--------------------
I can definitely recommend http://www.everyonebenefits.com/40424269… Thay are the number one dental plan in the country. They are a company that helps people who can't afford retail on their benefits - everything from braces to vision for less than $12/month. There's no hidden fees, copays, deductibles or anything like that at all. They are a very reputable company and will save you thousands. Rather than paying expensive premiums every month, then deductibles and copays, you just pay a small percantage of what the dentist, etc. normally charges out of pocket and that's it! You won't find another company that can beat their plan, especially on braces. Check them out and please email me if you have any questions. They are a member of the Better Business Bureau. Good luck.

I need dental insurance, where can I get a plan from the oklahoma city area?

I need a plan that starts right away. I was going to buy one before but I had to wait a year before It would pay for anything major like crowns or bridges and I need some bridges done. Can anyone help me find one?
--------------------
Hello, I am a Regional Health Benefits Specialist with AmeriPlan USA. I have one of their plans myself and can tell you how it's used for dental issues. There is NO waiting list, you can join tonight. You can use it next day. There are no age limits or restrictions and all pre-existing conditions are accepted. You can get great discounts on bridges. If you would, you could call me at 414-897-7471 CST and I can give you the details and find a provider in you area. I can also call them myself to see the exact discounts you could get and what their procedures are so all you would have to do is set up the appointment and i'd do the rest. I would pay your application fee for you, and that way you could try it risk free for 30 days and if you didn't like it, AmeriPlan USA would refund you your money if you weren't satisfied with the plan. Please e-mail me at EBeaumont@ameriplan.net for details.. or call. or visit my website at http://www.mybenefitsplus.com/rainingble… Thank you so much for your time and I hope I can help you save money on your dental needs! Sincerely, Erika Beaumont

How do you find a good dental insurance company? Do any dental insurance companies cover braces, & adjustments

on braces?
--------------------
Some dental insurance will cover braces, usually only after a waiting period which can run 12 to 24 months. They will usually pay 50% of the cost with a yearly maximum of $1500 for the best plans. This means they'll pay $1500 and you'll pay $1500 of the first $3000. You will pay all costs above $3000. Since braces and associated costs will average around $6000 you will pay $4500 after paying the dental insurance premium of $30 - $60 for at least 12 months. Visit a local agent to see what plans are available in your state. There is no extra charge using an agent. Your other alternitive is a fee for service discount plan. The fee for service means with most procedures there is a set fee the dentist charges and with other procedures there is a discount. You can find one at this website: http://www.dpbrokers.com/default.aspx?lo… For braces there is a set fee schedule (SFS) with most of these plans but you'll need to call some dentist that accept the plans to find out how much it would actually cost you.

If I have 3 dental insurance plans and a ton of dental work to be done, how can I get?

my dentist office to submit certain procedure charges to certain insurances? since each plan covers something different that i need done, and vice versa?
--------------------
If you have hit the dentist lottery and actually have a secretary that knows how to bill correctly- you are right- all three insurances are liable to pay for the procedures that will be done--but before you go to the dentist- please read over ALL THE RESTRICTIONS listed in those little clauses you can barely read--and if there are none that interfere with your dental plan and payment plan with the companies- make sure your DENTIST is aware of your 3 insurances so he can oversee the correct coding and billing to each insurance..........*you have also watch to make sure he doesn't bill all 3 for the same procedures..........good luck and happy smiling.

Does anyone know of a company that offers dental and/or vision insurance to individuals not employed?

Right now I'm a full time law student. I have major medical insurance but I haven't been able to obtain dental or vision insurance because I am not employed. I live in Illinois.
--------------------
You probably do not need it. If you did a cost analysis of the insurance vs. the treatment, you would find that it is most often a waste of money. Hang in there with the medical only would be my advice. Good Luck

Does anybody know a good Dental insurance for adult braces?

I'm looking to get braces but my current insurance doesn't cover it.
--------------------
There shouldn't be any because adult braces is most often an optional procedure. How can the insurance company make anything on that? The only people who would buy it are the ones who are going to have it done. Make sure your orthodontist knows you have this insurance because maybe it might cover a tiny part of it.

anyone know of a way to get dentures with little or no dental insurance?

I want to get dentures, but my insurance will not cover them because they are considered "cosmetic". Does anyone know of any programs that can help me? I could afford some form of monthly payment but not the total cost all at once.
--------------------
Go to a dental school. Even if you have to travel, it's well worth it. My insurance didn't cover my root canal. I went to USC dental school and had it done for free.

I am a broke disabled veteran in desperate need of dental insurance where do I turn to?

Where do we as Iraq war veterans turn to when we need dental care? I have no money, work very little and have a young daughter to support. The Department of Veterans Affairs offers us no dental coverage as a disabled veteran because I am not 100% disabled. I can't afford to pay out of pocket and have done my research and it seems that this is a problem that people care very little about. I have an abcess and a decayed toothe that needs to be pulled what do I do? Please anyone I am in desperate need of some answers.
--------------------
You can buy dental insurance for as little as $11.00 a month. I provided a link. Also, alot of dentist offer their own dental insurance plans.

How do i get my mom a dental insurance.?

She needs a some major work done specially some tooths are missing and she needs to replace them, every time i talk to dentists they tells me very expensive price. Any suggesionts what can i do.
--------------------
I'm going to be the adversary on this one and say that dental insurance can be very helpful, but it depends on the plan. Any dentist we approached when my husband needed a crown and we needed payments, they would not do it. Instead they offer a mid-interest dental credit card that is run through Chase or Citibank. So this is not a great option! Plus these cards require at least $1,000 in dental work to be performed if the charge is to be approved for low interest and paid over a full year. Any lower amounts requires high interest and the payment will only be broken into two or three payments. The best way to go - look for a local dentist who specializes in abstraction and dentures. We have one in Vermont who removes all teeth and then molds, creates, and fits dentures for around $800. That's a deal. We do have dental insurance. I will cover cleanings twice a year which can prevent running into issues. But... it will not cover my children's flouride pills which the dentist says they need since we are on well water and the water does not contain flouride. I buy them a rinse instead. It covers very little of a crown. Fillings it will only pay 80% of IF you use a metal filing instead of resin, and many dentists refuse to use metal fillings now. So it's hard finding one who will still do a metal filling. It will only cover one crown, if it breaks or becomes loose, too bad for you. Same for a root canal. Some medical insurance plans cover teeth if it is an emergency and requires ER care. But you have to have medical insurance for that route to work.

Has anyone had a good experience with First Commonwealth HMO Dental insurance?

I am running into a problem in finding a denstist that will accept this coverage. Especially when my husband has a PPO plan- then they use his coverage as primary and ignore the secondary coverage. They have stated that they do not have to honor the HMO fee structure; but they refuse to drop us the kids and my husband off of the list.
--------------------
Dental plans like this can be a real problem. The dentists are paid a fixed fee of about $4 to $6 a month for each person who signs up. Hopefully, they never show up in the office, and they keep the money. If they do, the dentist tries to sell additional services that are not on the discounted list. Any dentist who is contracted is SUPPOSED to honor the fee structure--that's what the contract is. However, many HMO plans will not pay benefits on a secondary basis. So, this plan may be a rip-off. Consider dropping it, and work with a specialist health agent to find a PPO plan that works for you.

What are some ways I can get around not having dental insurance?

Or what are my options? I need to see a dentist.
--------------------
I would strongly encourage you to visit this great website: www.healthsavings.ourperfectcard.com I signed up online over 5 years ago and they have saved me thousands of dollars on all dental services. Even my braces. Then try to work out a payment plan with the dentist so you would not have to pay a lump sum. They even had my very affordable plan active in 2 hours and was able to use it the very same day. Good luck and Hope this helps.

How much does dental insurance cost in california?

I'm 21 so I need a good plan that will cover for my wisdom teeth extraction. How long do I have to keep the policy? How much do you pay? (male/female)(age) etc
--------------------
There are many dental plans and several dental insurances but the best thing is to call a local independent insurance agent to recommend the right one. If you were on Medicaid being under 21 that would cover you for dental services. The plans and the insurance policies have waiting period for some types of work done but you have to check with each insurance company. It may not be worth it because they never cover very much of the actual costs. The better way to go is either a dental group which accepts installment payments, a dental college with a student dentist supervised by a practicing dentist, or a public clinic that has dental services. You can apply for a Care Credit medical, dental, vision credit card from GE Money Bank.

How much does Dental Insurance Cost in Chicago Illinois. ?

What type of insurance? What insurance provider? My teeth are in pretty good shape, my wisdom teeth are gone and i don't need braces. I want a policy that covers me for the basics like checkups / cleaning / cavities. I would like it to be able to see the dentist near me and have 80% or better covered by insurance. Where should i go? Thanks in advance.
--------------------
You have five options with dental. 1. Go without insurance. If you have good teeth and just want the basics you probably don't need any plan. A yearly cleaning and exam and even an occasional filling will cost you less without insurance. 2. Visit a local dental school. You can get many procedures done for a reduced price if you're willing to let them practice on you. You can find one here: http://www.yourhealthplanadvisor.com/Den… 3. Insurance - Depending upon the policy: cost $30-$60 per month. You pay a $50 deductible first, they have an annual maximum that they'll pay per year of $750 - $1500, they have a waiting period up to 18 months for major work and then you're paying 50% of the charges. Example - average cost for a root canal in my area is $919. With insurance you pay $460 after paying 18 months of premium (around $800 or $900). Advantage - you can use any dentist with most plans. 4. Discount plans - Cost - $5-$12 per month. No deductible, no annual maximum and no waiting periods. Also, hardly any dentists will accept the plan and when they do you MIGHT get a 10% discount, which is about the same discount you can get by paying cash. Example - average cost for a root canal in my area is $919. With discount plans you pay around $827. Be very wary of these plans because most are scams. The people that sell these plans have little or no knowledge about health & dental insurance and do not need a license to sell them. The plans are not regulated by the state so you have no recourse when you have problems. Some states are starting to ban these plans from being sold. Here is an informative link http://www.insurancejournal.com/news/wes… concerning these plans. 5. Fee for Service discount plans - Cost $7-$15 per month. No deductible, no annual maximum and no waiting periods. Many dentist will accept the plan (check providers first before signing up with any plan). When you use the plan there is a set fee that the dentist will charge you. Example - average cost for a root canal in my area is $919. With fee for service plans you pay as little as $404. I'm an insurance agent and my personal plan is the fee for service plan. I got mine here http://www.dpbrokers.com/default.aspx?lo… specifically the Aetna Dental Access plan but which one you get depends upon your area and comparing the fee schedule to find the best for what you need covered.

i need to get health and dental insurance and have no clue where to start. ?

can someone explain to me what a deductible is?
--------------------
Start calling insurance companies and ask for a quote. M-I-C (Medical Insurance Consultants) offer locum insurance cover, dental insurance and medical insurance. They are a dental insurance agency. Give them ago. A deductible is the amount you ,pay out of pocket before the benefits kick in. I found them on the net. The link is below.

Why do employers give their employees health and dental insurance?

Is this because the law requires that they do so or is it more of a competition factor as in other jobs of the same type/caliber offer it as a "perk" to choose one job offer over another.
--------------------
It began in World War II when wage controls stop companies from raising salaries to keep the best people. Instead they offered other paid-for benefits, like health care.

Would it be cheaper for me to purchase dental insurance?

I don't have health coverage, but I have a bunch of cavities... I am only 22, and would like to keep my teeth for a long time. I talked to our dentist and he said it would be a bout 150 dollars per cavity, but I only 600 dollars a month, and I have fouride deficiency. Any advice?
--------------------
Your best bet is probably going to be to sign up for a discount plan like Careington- it isn't the same as insurance, but you do get discounts. Actual dental insurance plans usually have a really low maximum they will pay for the year, AND you would have a waiting period. Or, if you live anywhere near a dental school, you can check with them to see if they have a clinic for their students. Often that will be a lot cheaper, and the work should be supervised by a licensed dentist..

Without Dental Insurance What is the Price of a Porcelain Filling?

I have a few painful cavities. Help!
--------------------
First of all, cavities are not filled with porcelain. They are filled with resin, a tooth colored filling, or amalgam, the silver fillings. Porcelain is reserved for crowns, bridges, partials, implants, veneers, and dentures. Resin fillings are more expensive than amalgam, but not that much more expensive. Each dentist can assign a price for what he thinks a resin filling is worth. Usually, the bigger the filling, the more costly. But they also have to stay within certain price guidelines, because if a dentist charges too much, the dentist will lose lots of business. But to answer your question, it really depends on the size of the cavity, and what the dentist will charge. You might be able to get a discount. I did when I went to a dentist and I had no insurance. But again, that is up to the dentist. My dentist gave me a discount because he would rather get paid most of his money than none at all. I hope this helps.
