Where can I look for cheap dental insurance online? I live in New Jersey if it matters! I'm 26, a single mom?

but my daughter has dental issurance. I don't! And I have this horrible toothache that I could seriously cry over right now! It's obviously connected to a cavity I have there. The toothache has put some fire under my butt, though, to get insurance asap! I don't have much money to spare and I know very, very little about this stuff, so any help, guidance, whatever, would be sooooo appreciated! Thank you!

How do I set up my own insurance (dental and medical) under my corporation?

I am in the process of starting my own corporation. I wanted to setup my own dental and medical insurance for myself. I will be the only employee of the corp. How would I go about setting up my own dental and medical insurance under my new corporation?
--------------------
You always need at least two employees to have a "group" insurance program. Consider adding your spouse as second employee and pay her a portion of what you were planning to pay yourself. Contact any insurance agent for help on getting the group setup then.

With med/dental insurance,is eye coverage considered a part of medical in leagal terms?

I am divorced with joint coverage with my kids. I agreed to have them covered with my medical/dental insurance. I just need to know if eye are considered a part of medical. I ask because I feel that I am paying for everything and thier mother has no obligations except draining me of my money.
--------------------
You'll need to contact your agent for the answer to this question. Problems with the eyes are covered under your health policy. However, most of the time vision exams and glasses are not included in either health or dental insurance. The agent will know about your specific policy.

In order to have group insurance you need at least two employees. it could be you and your spouse, but you would have to have her on the payroll. Other than that you can just purchase individual coverage Try using yellowpages.com to search for (group) health insurance brokers in your area. Don't call your auto and home agent they specialize in property and causality insurance. You need someone that specializes in health insurance. A Broker represents multiple carriers and can help you sort through all the different insurance companies and plan options in your state

What is the best Dental Insurance for North Carolina??

I need to purchase dental insurance for myself because I know I need to go get a cleaning etc. What is the most affordable insurance to purchase that covers the most & gives me options on which dentist I would like to go to? I know I have atleast one cavity so I need insurance that won't break the bank but will keep my teeth looking good. Thank you in advance!! Easy 10 points for best answer!!
--------------------
If the dental insurance is only to cover you, it is probably NOT worth it. Most dental insurances only pay 1,000 dollars a year max. While single people often pay that in premiums a year. Just check around but be sure that the amount you will pay a month does not add up to what the maximum is in a year. Many people are gettin takin over this.

Can I get my own dental insurance?

I need dental work done, and I want to buy dental insurance as it is not offered through my company. Can I do that? How much will it cost? What do they look at in order to decide the cost? Where do I look for dental insurance?
--------------------
Sure. AND, dental insurance can pay out more than it takes in. There are waiting periods naturally or everyone would wait until they needed a root canal to buy one. They can run about $40 per month and cover up to $1500 per. Having said that if you need coverage for work that can't wait 12-18 months then you should get a discount dental plan. Discount dental is very different than discount health because nobody's ever gone bankrupt buying a discount dental plan. Dental insurance only covers ~$1500/year so buying a discount dental plan at $100 per year (give or take) can make a lot of sense. Look on my site for discount dental and dental insurance... http://insurancepickle.com/health-insura…

I'm 18 and I have no dental or health insurance, Can someone point me in the right direction?

I'm going to college, so I don't live with my family anymore. When Living with my family, I had medical, since my Mom was deaf. So when I moved out, I don't get it anymore. I need to find a cheap enough dental insurance and health insurance or maybe even both as a pack. Does anyone have any suggestions?
--------------------
If you're a full-time student at an accredited university, then chances are that you are already covered by the student health insurance. It may not cover stuff like hospital stays or the ER, but you would be able to see a doctor, maybe a dentist (if available on campus through a dentistry program), and get medications. If you don't have this available, your other option is to get a job that offers benefits to employees. Hope this helps.

A good individual dental insurance plan?

I don't have dental insurance, and my employer doesn't offer any. I seriously need to see a dentist, I haven't been to one since I last had insurance 4 years ago. But I can't afford much right now either. I need a plan that will cover preventive treatment, doesn't have much of a waiting period, and will cover at least some of any major work, because i think I might need some. By the way, I live in central PA.
--------------------
I do not have a good individual dental insurance plan to suggest, but we use care credit for all of our dental work. It's like credit and super easy to get approved (even with bad credit), very low repayments per month, under 100. I'm including the link if you would like to check it out. You will need to know an approximate of how much your work is going to cost and the credit once approved is available immediately. http://www.carecredit.com/

Can I do this with my dental insurance?

I have dental coverage but no adult orthodontic coverage. I need braces and am hoping that my husband's employer will add this for us. I am covered under his medical and dental insurance already, we just do not have adult orthodontic coverage. We need it though! Has anyone ever done this? If so, did you have to pay anything for the additional coverage? Was there a waiting period? Any other info is appreciated. Thanks!

Most insurances only cover a percentage. You most likely will have to pay a portion. But something is better then nothing.

From extractions, xrays, fillings, root canals...etc. Even my braces. They even had my very affordable benefits active in 2 hours and was able to use them the very same day. Why are dental insurance plans so bad?

Does anyone know why dental insurance plans are so bad? My husband works for the federal government and has United Concordia dental plan and it is horrible. The dental my job offers is no better and I have a state job. The dental insurance plan we have is not cheap but the plan doesn't cover much and actually it is covering less than what it covered 1 year ago and our premiums went up. I really don't know anyone in the private sector who has a decent dental plan either. Why is dental insurance so horrible? Dental insurance is not a luxury and people with families need dental but can't afford to go even with insurance.
--------------------
I know EXACTLY what you mean. I'm self employed and for us to get dental would actually cost more then any amount I would spend at the dentist without insurance. I have NEVER had good coverage, and most of the plans I find online are bootleg. Thank God I have been going to the same dentist for 20 plus years and he cuts me a break on some stuff and lets me pay whatever I want on the bill.

dental discounts you can use with your current insurance?

I currently have pretty good dental insurance but I want to save more with fillings and crowns etc. Will the dentist let you use a dental discount plan w/ your current insurance?
--------------------
Dolly, That is a great question! There are 100 of thousands of dentists just in the United States and they each run their businesses in a different way. I have heard that some will combine a discount plan like e Health Plus with the insurance and give you a better price than any one plan would give you on its own. Some dentists will give you a price that is lower than negotiated. It is a free country, so you will just have to try and see for yourself. It is definitely possible to save more than what your insurance would save you.

Is it better to have a fee schedule or coinsurance with 30% for dental insurance?t?

I'm looking at getting dental insurance. Is is it better to have one with a fee schedule for many things (I don't think they pay any of this, at least all it says is fee schedule) or to have it be coinsurance and it ranging b/t 10-50% depending on the service. They both have the same deductible % max coverage and the one with the fee schedule is a few dollars more per month.
--------------------
If we're not considering cost then the insurance is better. BUT, it depends on the cost. You'll find the Ameritas Dental Insurance on my site as well as a search engine that'll look up 30 different discount plans (fee schedule). With dental plans going for a discount plan isn't so bad because insurance only covers $1,000-$1,500 anyway. In other words a root canal isn't going to cost you your home like a heart attack would.

Is there any dental insurance thats worth having?

I need major work (I had an accident and lost a tooth) and I am being told by my dentist that I have to pay out of pocket 60%. This seems so high to me, expecially when I pay out the butt for dental insurance every month! Is all dental insurance like this? Are discount dental programs better? I can't afford to pay 60% of my dental work. Its going to be over $3000. Does this make sense? Whats the point of getting dental insurance if you still have to pay ridiculous amounts of money anyway?
--------------------
Normally, I would say dental insurance is not worth the $ spent monthly. Although it may seem like it when you run into big procedures like the one you have encountered. I'm assuming you are looking at either a bridge or an implant since you lost only one of your teeth- and yes, $3K is reasonable. (I would opt for the implant if I were you- it will last much longer.) Discount plans are a JOKE. It sounds like you may have a plan that increases over the years. The average plan covers 100% of preventative (cleanings, x-rays) 80% of restorative (fillings, sometimes even root canals and periodontal cleanings) and 50% of major (crowns, bridges, dentures). Some plans say 40% for the first year of coverage, then up it to 50%. Either way, I'd keep your insurance until your treatment is complete. Personally, then I'd ditch it and just go in every six months (unless your dentist recommends 3-4 months) and MAINTAIN your dental health!! When you average out the cost of those semi-annual appointments, they will probably cost less than you spend annually on your dental insurance. Good luck!

I am looking for dental insurance that covers root planning, cavities, fillings and teeth pulling.?

I am looking for dental insurance that covers root planning (deep cleaning), cavities, fillings and teeth pulling. I can't wait no 18 or 6 months for root planing.
--------------------
Many group plans through an employer do not have or have shorter waiting periods. Some dental insurance plans will not have waiting periods but instead have a graduated benefit. For example, the first year they'll pay 10%, second year 30% and third year 60%. Contact a local agent to see if these plans are available in your area. Other than that you could try a dental school where you can get good service at a reasonable cost. You can find the nearest school here: http://www.yourhealthplanadvisor.com/Den…

What dental insurance should I get?

We have United Concordia Dental insurance through my husband because he's in the Army. Unfortunately it doesn't cover much, for example, it considers conscious sedation for a 4 year old to be elective. Do you know any 4 year old who will hold still while they fill a cavity? I don't think that's elective! Anyways, we need another plan to supplement ours so does anyone know of a good one that will help bridge the gap for us?
