"Does anyone know of Dental Insurance for Adults?'?

I am 29 years of age. I would like to get Invisilign done to my teeth. What would be an excellent Dental Insurance for my teeth. It has to be a low rate.
--------------------
Most cosmetic Work is not covered by insurance plans. Your best bet would be to check with local dentists in your area to check costs and see if payment plans are offered. I was a patient of BrightNow Dental ( I believe these offices are located throughout the U.S.) and they offered competative prices and also offer a line of credit ( a dental credit card ). If you are low-income, you could look into your state or county medicaid program, but they may not cover this service either. I know in Ohio, medicaid won't even cover a root canal.

How much does Invsalign cost and how much do dental insurance cover of it????10 points to best answer!!!!!?

I only have problem with my two front teeth they come out front and i want to know how much it would cost Using Invisalign to fix them.
--------------------
Dental insurance generally does not cover it since it's extremely expensive and brackets accomplish the same job for much cheaper. Invisalign is only for appearance. Can cost $3,000. Varies by professional, and how many plates person needs. The more work needed, the more molds have to be made, so higher price.

Why are Dental and Vision Insurance separate from regular Health insurance?

Why are Dental and Vision Insurance separate from regular Health insurance? I have regular health insurance one me and my kids. I also have Dental and Vision insurance on just myself, because I can't afford it for my kids. They are the ones who need it most. Why are Dental and Vision not included on Health insurance? I'm not talking about for Braces or colored contacts, but for wellness check-ups, fillings, glasses if needed, etc.
--------------------
Networks are different for vision and dental. Also insurance companies are highly regulated by the state, and they can only write certain types of insurance, so if they don't have license for dental or vision, you have to buy that fomr somewhere else. Like the prev poster said, people who REALLY need dental and vision are those who will use the hell out of it, so therefore it is more expensive. For check up, usually simple vision exam is free from your health insurance. Dental is separate but if you just want cleaning then pay out of your own pocket might be cheaper actually.

can regular health insurance be used for health-related dental work?

I have not only very unhealthy teeth, but an undersized lower jaw. Both of which is causing quite a bit of health problems (from digestive difficulties to sleep apnia). With this being not merely dental, can my health insurance be used to fund some way of fixing this problem?
--------------------
For a start get a bottle of HYDROGEN PEROXIDE and start brushing and mouth washing daily with it. It kills pain and heals oral problems. My dentist recommended this to me many years ago (I have mediocure teeth also) But the gums hold the teeth in, so when you get healthy gums your teeth are enormously better. You need to see an Orthodontist for the undersized lower jaw. My son had the same problem and was in Orthodonture 6 years to enlarge the bottom jaw. Of course your age may determine whether this can be solved now. He was 10-16 during his braces. You might need a couple of teeth pulled to allow space. It might be wise to buy some dental insurance that includes orthodonture coverage. To prepare for getting braces. For digestive difficulties, have your thyroid checked, this can cause swollowing problems. Losing even 10 lbs. can correct your sleep apnea problem. My Mother in Law had it for her life, after going on Sythroid for her Thyroid, she lost 17 lbs and her sleep apnea totally went away. She was 83 when it finally stopped. The doctor had increased her Sythroid for her Thyroid imbalance. For your stomach, drink a glass of Lemon water (about 3 Tablespoons in a glass) daily. This will correct the acid balance in your stomach. If you have been on any medication for anything it can throw your acid balance out of whack. Lemon juice sounds illogical, we started using it to improve our metabolism and it fixed my 10 year old acid reflux problem. Good Luck, I hope some of my suggestions help out. Medication is good in some cases, but can cause other problems.

What are my rights here? I lost my dental insurance due to non payment?

I didn't find out untill 2 months after going to the dentist that it was cancelled, and nobody told the dentest office. Metlife sent me notices that everything was paid for. Can they come back later, and say I owe them
--------------------
You have the right to pay the bill. Yes, they, the dentist, can come after you for the amount you owe them - and they will, eventually.

affordable dental insurance in Michigan?

I live in Saginaw Michigan and I am looking for affordable dental insurance. Any good leads?
--------------------
Not really any good leads on insurance......but something that is great for dental work. Check into local dentistry schools, the students are becoming dentists and are supervised that the work being performed is right......I think the work done there is free, if not, really affordable! Check it out...it can't hurt. By the way, I think you are an attractive guy!!!!! Not trying to hit on you or anything.......I have a man, but you are attractive and just thought I would compliment you. Good Luck on your dental journey. I live in Michigan too...have used the dental schools and not a single bad experience.

Hi Tim, Not sure if this is the right fit for you, but worth checking out (especially if your employer doesn't provide dental coverage). It's called Ameriplan (I work for them). We offer dental care for the price of just $14.95 per month for individual or $19.95 per month for your entire household. You may choose the dentist of your choice in the AmeriPlan network and save 25% to 80% savings on dental procedures performed by a Program dentist. It's a great program with millions of subscribers nationwide. Feel free to visit my site if you think it might be a fit for you (or send me a note back). Good luck! http://www.MyBenefitsPlus.com/40632454

Will my Alberta dental/medical insurance work in BC?

I'm from British Columbia, but work in Alberta. I have a dental/medical plan with my Alberta employer, but I get dental work done when I come home to BC. Will my Alberta insurance cover dental work down in BC by my family dentist? Thank you for your time.
--------------------
Check with your dentist - they can run the plan number and let you know if it will be accepted before you get the work done. Most plans have a provision for out of province coverage. If it's through Blue Cross, it will definitely work.

Mom told me I can get a dental plan for $20/month. Seriously? Where can I find a $20/month dental insurance?

I don't think she knows what she's talking about. I thought the lowest was like $200/month. I'm from Kansas, so states may have something to do with what dental insurance is available. So, how would I be eligible for the cheapest dental insurance?

have no dental insurance and need to have a ranula removed?

any suggestions as to how much the entire proedure would cost? also, is there any alternative payment options that dont involve credit....this is an emergency as it is causing swelling of my face and slurred speech

Check to see if there is a dental collage around, usually you can have discounted procedures done. Dental issues are BIG issues which could lead to heart or other problems! What is a ranula?

Does anyone know from whom to Purchase Dental Insurance?

I am a retiree and dental insurance is not provided beyond the age of 65....
--------------------
What I would start with is calling a couple of dentists and just asking them which plans they take. Also, which discount plans they take. Then you can call some of the more popular ones and find out what the cost would be. I find that most people who buy thier own plans get stuck with not finding doctors who accept them. When last I had a dental appointment I remember seeing a dental plan advertised in the waiting area for individual purchase.
