dental question about insurance?

I'm planning on getting braces soon, and i need a plan or insurance that will cover the cost of teeth extractions. How much does it cost to get a tooth extracted? Also, does it cost more to get your wisdom teeth extracted? I've checked some insurances out but the waiting periods are too long. If i plan to get my teeth (6 including wisdom teeth) extracted, does that fall under surgical extractions or periodontal? Because periodontal has a 12-month waiting period. I would like to get in done withing 6 months.

You can't get a private policy that's going to cover much of tooth extractions. It usually costs about $150 per tooth, but your policy likely has a deductible of $500 or so. Wisdom teeth are different. Yes, all the private policies will have a waiting period. Having teeth extracted counts as extractions, but likely you'll have a big fat deductible along with the waiting period.
