I can help you with this one. I recently had to get two root canals and with that came two crowns. The root canal was not that bad on the wallet, but when I learned how much the two crowns cost I was displeased. After insurance, each crown came to be around $450. costing me almost a $1000 dollars on the dentist. I guess it would have been a lot worse if I didn't have insurance.
