Dental Help for friend with lupus?

My friend suffers from lupus and the medications and compromised immune system have ruined her teeth. The family has dental insurance, but even with it, they would still need to come up with over 7000 dollars out of pocket. Does anyone know of any kind of grant or program to help cover the cost? Or just any suggestions please...she has started to opt for extraction over saving the teeth to cut back on cost, but its sad to see my pretty, 27 year old friend stop smiling because she is losing her teeth

try to go to a local Dental School. They can usually do it for a 1/3 the cost
