How does dental insurance for braces works?

How much does it cover? Am i going to have be paying it off for a long time, even after the braces get removed. Is it worth having? Thank you!

Dental insurance plans vary widely in terms of coverage. Some cover orthodontic treatment, some don't. Is it worth having? If the "it" is dental insurance, then I'd say it almost never makes sense for an individual to purchase dental benefits. The premiums are too high relative to the benefits. If however you can get it through your employer it MIGHT be worth it.
