what is the best dental insurance plan?

i'm looking to buy a dental plan and i have no idea about different tips of plans like DHMO, PPO and ... please help me with your experiences and comments.

a PPO is ok, but sometimes it's better to just be a cash patient, most offices will give you a discount. Depending on how much work you have to be done sometimes you'll pay more for the insurance then you would just getting your cleanings and check ups every year. Dental Insurance isn't like health insurance, it's basically a discount plan, sure they pay for some of your treatment but not 100% of everything. They make alot of exclusions too, for example, most don't pay for fluoride on adult patients, but most adults need it. Dental insurance is a business, they're out to make money not protect your best interests. If you have to choose, pick whatever the highest option is, look to see if it covers orthodontic coverage. Figure out how much you have to pay for it per month, then figure out how much it costs you to go to the dentist without insurance.
