use a parent's dental insurance while living somewhere else?

I want to move in with my aunt for a multitude of reasons, but for now we're only arranging for the summer. If I go there, to Las Vegas, Nevada, could I get dental work done that I really really need, but using my mother's insurance while she's in New York? She only recently applied, and it goes into effect July 1st, but my aunt comes July 3rd. Is there any possible way it could work?

You could still be covered under your mother's insurance, but her plan may have geographic limits. The only way to know for sure is for her to call the customer service number for her dental plan and ask them.
