I live in Alberta Canada and I'm not covered under any plan here right now... but I will be taking health insurance in Australia.. How does it work.. Will I be covered or is Dental a totally different thing like it is here?

There is a waiting period for dental etc once you have joined a health insurance in Australia - 3-6 months. Can you wait that long? Insurance costs around $60-70 a month for a single - more if you are over 30, Get it as soon as you get here. IF you are coming on a PR visa, then you are covered by medicare immediately but that is only for doctor visits, not dentists.
