Can anyone inform me about dental insurance plans in Texas?

Me and my family are planning to move to Texas by next month. We plan to purchase dental insurance plans especially for my dad who's thinking about having an orthognathic surgery. Please help me guys! Thanks!

The best dental insurance is one that achieves a perfect balance between price and policy inclusions, and does not leave you feeling helpless when the time comes for you to make good use of it. Here is a summary of the basic dental insurance coverage in Texas: 1. Preventive and diagnostic dental care. Preventive dental care necessarily includes all regular cleaning and check-up services that a dentist performs to avert further destruction or decay of the teeth. The most basic services are included here, including evaluation and diagnosis of any prevailing dental problem. 2. Basic dental care and dental procedures. Although this coverage is somewhat subjective to what your dentist considers "basic" services, dental care and procedure may or may not include tooth filling, tooth extractions, root canals and repairing broken teeth. As long as your dentist considers it a simple and minor procedure, you can expect it to fall under this category. 3. Major dental care. Major denture work, dental orthodontics, surgery and other large-scale procedures are the most expensive – if you opt for a higher percentage under this category, expect your premium to increase. Some aging people prefer for a higher coverage on the major dental care because sooner or later, they are going to need a set of dentures and other more complicated dental repair and enhancement procedure.
