How much does dental insurance cost in california?

I'm 21 so I need a good plan that will cover for my wisdom teeth extraction. How long do I have to keep the policy? How much do you pay? (male/female)(age) etc

There are many dental plans and several dental insurances but the best thing is to call a local independent insurance agent to recommend the right one. If you were on Medicaid being under 21 that would cover you for dental services. The plans and the insurance policies have waiting period for some types of work done but you have to check with each insurance company. It may not be worth it because they never cover very much of the actual costs. The better way to go is either a dental group which accepts installment payments, a dental college with a student dentist supervised by a practicing dentist, or a public clinic that has dental services.
