is there a good insurance company for alternative medicine and dental?

i'm looking for a new insurance policy. is there one that is cheap and will accept alternative medicines? also i need a dental policy with it for a broken tooth i've got...and to get some amalgams removed.

Unfortunately, most insurance policies don't cover alternative medicine because they don't cover preventative options. It would be cheaper for them to prevent problems than to treat problems, but it's almost impossible to prove that a preventative would prevent any specific condition more than any other option. Let's say for the sake of argument that Vitamin C was proven to cure Disease X. An insurance company may not pay for a Vitamin C pill because of the justification that you could get that from an Orange anyway (and no insurance I've ever heard of will pay for food that's given outside of a hospital). With that being said, there are some insurance options that cover preventative practices if they are used for recovery such as Chiropractic and Physical Therapy, but they typically wouldn't cover either if you go every week or two "just for the heck of it" for maintenance. Granted, dental is a very different story and there are many options that'll cover what you're looking for. You can ask your local insurance companies what their options are or you could even ask this question in the Insurance section in Y!A for more details on why they won't cover preventative. Good luck and I hope I helped!
