Insurance with fiance?

My fiance and I both work at the same employer, so we both have the same insurance. When we get married will we both have still have separate coverage if I don't put him on mine? Or since it's obviously with the same company it will just naturally put me on his? * This is concerning dental insurance

Do whatever costs less. At many companies the employees insurance is less than half of the cost of a married couple so it will probably be cheaper to each have your own coverage. As far as having your own and still being on his the usual procedure is your policy would be primary and his policy would be secondary and only pays whats left after the primary pays. That's the usual procedure but you need to speak to your human resources department or insurance representative to get the specifics of how much it would cost for joint or separate policies and how your policies would pay and if you can even get the overlapping coverage.
