Let's say you don't have dental insurance and you go to a public dentist and you need braces. How much would it cost?

The grand total for me was $5880. Some Orthodontist accept payment plans. There is also a company who gives out loans just for braces (my payments were $134 a month). Also, most Orthodontist give a free consultation, so you could go and see how much they think it will run.
