My husband is self employeed and we are looking for an insurance plan that will cover medical for the family, dental & vision. But we don't want to go bankrupt trying to get affordable insurance.

OK, the average family plan costs about $1200 a month. Not including dental and vision - which for the most part, cost more than they pay out. If you want to take a big deductible, you can cut that premium down. But if you're looking for a $300 a month plan, for the whole family, it's not out there. It doesn't exist. You should talk to his agent, and get a referral to a health specialist, to get an idea of deductibles vs. premiums in your area.
