I was seriously injured in an accident years ago and settled with the help of lawyers. However, my dental work (due to the accident) needs to be replaced now due to normal wear and tear. (Basically bridge work that only lasts so long). Is the insurance company still required to pay for this?

Nope..when you "settle" you'll have to sign a release for all future medical, psych problems, etc.
