I am having one HELL of a time finding a dentist who doesn't laugh when I tell them I'm on Ontario Works! They all tell me that getting payment from the OW insurance company (Great West Life) would require a full-time employee doing nothing else! They also pay the dentist next to nothing! $100 tooth extraction nets the dentist $22! Is there a dentist in the Brampton, Ontario area who will accept OW patients? This is an emergency!

I do not know if this will help you but have you tried calling Ontario works and finding out where the heck you can go? Tell them what the dentists are saying about them and that you need to know where you can go that will take you. After all if they are that bad I would think about getting some other kind of plan if possible. Also not sure if you can do this or a afford to for that matter but might be something you can do. Call the dentist and if they said the same thing as stated above tell them you would be wiling to pay in full and file the claim yourself. That way you can get the refund due you back from Ontario Works.
