I have a broken crown, heard it'd be about $1000 to repair. Any kind of dental insurance would probably help with the cost, but not if it doesn't cover pre-existing. Yet if it covers pre-existing, seems like they'd lose money. Any feedback on this?

Be sure to read all the fine print before you sign up. They are required to present all the terms. Sometimes they have a shiny brochure, but ask for the complete policy.
