services for dental work?

Are there students available to do root canals? (with supervision) Already diagnosed, but does not have dental insurance. Are there services at a lesser price for this type of situation? This person needs 2 root canals. One is an emergency. please e-mail at peggy_8529@att.net

Dental students do root canals. It's part of how they learn to do them well. Here's a list of the schools in the US; perhaps one is near you. http://ada.org/267.aspx FYI: if you go to a dental school, you'll have to submit to the entire process: examination & x-rays, basic restorative work, etc before the root canals are done. If it's an emergency, they may see you sooner, but many schools only offer emergency care to their existing patients. You might want to try a local community health center if money is an issue. Many have dental clinics in addition to the medical services most provide. You can use this link to identify a center near you. http://findahealthcenter.hrsa.gov/
