So does dental school offer cheaper service?

My wisdom teeth is growing out right now, they hurt a little for a while but they dont right now, but I think I should take them out. Unfortunately my insurance doesnt cover wisdom teeth removal. So I found out there are dental schools that will do it for a lower price. I am just wondering is there any requirements to go there? And do they do the damon system braces for cheap too?
--------------------
I used a dental school for the following: 1. Tooth extraction (front tooth). Cost $45. 2. Tooth cleaning with ultrasound machine. No charge. Students must have needed practice. 3. Damon System Braces. Two years for about $3000. 4. Five gingival grafts. This is a procedure where tissue is cut from the roof of your mouth and grafted over receding gums. Cost $300 per graft. Each dental school may have different screening methods to use when selecting their patients. If the students are at a particular point in their learning or curriculum and you need that particular procedure done, they will take you as a patient immediately. Sometimes there is a waiting list for certain procedures. Yes, students will be working on you. However, most of these students are already dentists; they are simply doing postgraduate work in their particular specialty. If a student has difficulty, there is always an instructor supervising who can take over. Here is a list of dental schools in the US: http://www.ada.org/prof/ed/programs/sear… Simply call the school and ask to be screened to become a patient for wisdom tooth extraction.
