--------------------
SGLI is the life insurance for AD members, it is $27 per month for $450,000. FSGLI is for the spouse, it is up to $10 per month and is $100,000. All children get free coverage of $10,000. Dental Insurance - Tricare Dental/United Concordia is $30 per month for family or $13 per month for individual. It covers 2 free cleanings and 1 xray per year, the rest is a percentage depending on what it is. It covers up to $1200 per person per year. The first month you have to pay then it will be set up as an automatic deduction. The spouse can sign up for it as soon as her information is entered into DEERS. They do not see base dental but civilians out in town. Tricare Standard is medical and starts the date you start and all dependents are entered into DEERS. With Standard there is a yearly deductible and co-pay for each visit. If the spouse wishes to change to Tricare Prime or Tricare Prime Remote she must have her ID card and then it can be changed. With Prime you are seen at MTF hospitals or clinics, you are assigned a PCM. There is no co-pay or deductible.
