Does anyone else have an illness not covered by health insurance and how do you pay for it?

I have TMJ and my health nor dental gives me not one dollar toward it. Every year I pay thousands out of pocket for treatment for a joint that's just like any other joint! If my shoulder hurts, I get covered treatment. But not for my jaw. I'm sick of paying out of pocket and I want to know if anyone else knows some other organization that will give me something, anything at all for my medical bills. I've sent claims and appealed claims to my insurance company and they just don't care.

I don't have health insurance so I simply don't seek medical treatment for my incredibly painful shoulder instability.
