When i took my job as an administrative assistant, my employer stated very clearly that i would have health coverage, but not dental. In 3 weeks it will be a YEAR and he has still not provided me with health insurance. What do I do? I live and work in New York.

did you get this offer in writing? was it part of the want ad? if you have no proof this was offered, you're going to have an up-hill battle--especially if its a small company. talk to hr. if that doesn't work, have a frank discussion with your boss. let him/her know exactly what you expect. at the same time, start a job search, girl. that way if things come to a head at your job, you'll have somewhere to go to. when you have another offer let your boss know and give him/her the option of getting you healthcare again. if he/she refuses, pack your desk and get the heck up out of there! for better advice than what you'll get here, call leagal aid: http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&resnum… or the better business buearu: http://www.newyork.bbb.org/home2.aspx they can point you in the right direction.
