my gum is swollen and sore around a tooth that had a root canal when i was 14. im 22 now, the filling fell off 2 years ago and i dont have dental insurance. it looks like i have a huge hole where the tooth once was. what should i do???

You need to see a dentist!! Without that filling in there the root canal you had done is not sealed. If not sealed properly it can become reinfected and have to be re-treated. If this is the case and you do not have anything done you could potentially lose the tooth if you let it go and it starts to decay. It is common for there to be a big hole (since you lost the filling) because they had to drill out the center of your tooth to get to the canals. You need to make sure you are keeping it clean while you do not have the filling in it.
