My filling chipped off?

Years ago, I bit a fork and chipped my lower front tooth, and went to the dentist and got a filling for the chip. Now the filling has come off, and we don't have dental insurance anymore. Should I just live with it, even though it hurts, or should I tell my parents, and have a big dental bill because of it? I don't know why it came out. I wasn't eating at the time. Thanks.

You need to go back to the dentist who did it. It may or may not be free or redone at a reduced price. It will depend on the dentist. These bonds that restore the biting edges of teeth are sometimes difficult to get to hold, especially if you have a tight bite. good luck.
