Dentist Quality Cleaning?

Is it possible to clean your own teeth nearly as well as you could get it done at a Dentist's office? If so, explain the process please. I have never worked at a place that offered dental insurance, which is frustrating, but would still like to have teeth which appears to be taken care of professionally. Thank you. ~jaz~

There is no way you could do this without having their instruments and knowing how to properly use them. This is the only way to remove calculus that is deep under your gums. Anti-tartar toothpastes only work for the calculus above your gum line. If you don't get the calculus removed after a while, it will cause damage to your teeth and gums. You can read all about this here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Calculus_%2… Try to find a college in your area, they do cleanings for a fraction of the price (my school charges about $30)
