free or low-cost dentist in NYC?

i'm a college student living in queens. i have a cavity that's hurting really badly, and i need to find a free or low cost dentist in NYC. i also don't have dental insurance. someone please help.

You could try the dental clinic at NYU College of Dentistry (or Columbia University dental school). Some of the voluntary hospitals have dental clinics--LIJ, Queens General. Mary Immaculate and St. Johns Queens used to, but I don't know if they're still open. I believe the NY State dental society is setting up a program of free care volunteered by individual dentists.
