I got a tooth cleaning like 2wks ago and then suddenly like 3-4 days after the cleaning. i notice swelling and pain on the roof of my mouth and the swelling is behind my last two back molars. There was lots of swelling but it subsided a little and the pain is gone. I am flossing and brushing. and im taking pinicillin v 800mg Im trying to get a appointment. But since i dont have dental insurance. im trying to get on this sliding scale for a discount.

It could be an abcess or it could be a little damage done by the cleaning that has caused the soreness and swelling....but you are doing the right things as far as I am concerned!
