i need immediate dental help?

Hi, i went to dental assisting school and never completed but made it almost to the end of the program. My boyfriend has several teeth that are exposed the enamel is eaten away and the pulp is half way gone. Two molars of the mandibular and two premolars on the maxillary. He;s in excruciating pain with no dental insurance. I need help i believe it is infected and severe. He's very afraid to go to the dentist but if i can find a place that'll help for very little or no money it would be very helpful. I am located in NY and i believe he could die if the infection is way more severe than i believe. Please if anyone can help or tell me what to do!
