If I change insurance providers, will I still have to wait 6 months from my last cleaning? I'm only going to be home slightly less than 6 months from my last cleaning. I'll have a new dental insurance provider then too.

Some make you wait exactly six months, some allow two cleanings per calendar year and some allow two in a 12 month period. Some even allow three or four cleanings a year. Are you sure that yours has the six months to the day frequency policy? Call and ask if you are not sure. And if you change insurance companies, and it is not through an employer, you should be fine to have your cleaning a little early.
