What's the best dental insurance for an individual in Missouri?

I've been trying to search for an affordable dental insurance plan for myself. I'm single , live alone and work 40 hours a week like a lonely servant of god. I could probably afford up to $50 - $70 a month. I'd like to have a low deductible etc. Thanks in advance for any information and help.

Private dental insurance is very expensive and often doesn't make financial sense to buy. Discount dental plans provide major savings with affordable yearly premiums ($80-$200/year). See http://www.lowpriceddentalplans.com to see which plans are available for your zip code.

as some one has already said correct that you should consult your doctor and not to rely on the online info 95% is not so reliable. But make sure you check with your insurance too. If you really want some information online then I would suggest you google and read as much as info you can. or read some articles like these to gain knowledge on the dental insurance http://dentalinsuranceplanscompare.com/insurance-plans/information-kit-on-discount-dental-plans-1.html

How can I get Dental Insurance outside of my work?

I have a small chip in one of my teeth that needs to be filled, but I do not have dental insurance. Is there anyway that I can sign up for just dental insurance, get my tooth fixed and then cancel the policy.

Hey, I know a dental plan that is on;y14.96 a month for a single person. You dont have to stay on the plan for any amount of time, It does reqoire a 20 dollar aplication fee and the 14.95 to get started so I domt know It may not cost much money to get your tooth fixed,Check out the web site under dentist and find a provider in your area, and then the fee schedule to see the savings you would get, You can enroll your self omline or call the represenative. Best of luck Amber

Why is good dental insurance so hard to find?

Dental care is SO expensive, the insurance is terrible, does not cover anything. Why is this? Why cant it be included in health insurance?

You have three options with dental. Insurance - Depending upon the policy: cost $30-$60 per month. $50 deductible, annual maximum of $750 - $1500, waiting period up to 18 months for major work and then you're paying 50% of the charges. Example - average cost for a root canal in my area is $829. With insurance you pay $414 after paying 18 months of premium (around $800 or $900). Advantage - you can use any dentist with most plans. Discount plans - Cost - $5-$10 per month. No deductible, no annual maximum and no waiting periods. Also, hardly any dentists will accept the plan and when they do you MIGHT get a 10% discount, which is about the same discount you can get by paying cash. Example - average cost for a root canal in my area is $829. With discount plans you pay around $746. Fee for Service discount plans - Cost $7-$15 per month. No deductible, no annual maximum and no waiting periods. Many dentist will accept the plan (check providers first before signing up with any plan). When you use the plan there is a set fee that the dentist will charge you. Example - average cost for a root canal in my area is $829. With fee for service plans you pay as little as $404. I'm an insurance agent and my personal plan is the fee for service plan. I got mine here http://www.dpbrokers.com/default.aspx?lo… specifically the Aetna Dental Access plan.
