Dental question: I was told by a dentist that I need to have a deep cleaning on my teeth, and wants to charge $290 per quadrant. My dental insurance states that there is no charge for periodontal scaling and root planing. The dental office then said that the fee was for atridox ($230) and 'other drugs/medicants, b/r' ($60). $1160 seems excessive. Am I mistaken?
