Is there gap health insurance for six months until I turn 65 in April '08?

I will have COBRA, $298/mo. includes dental, will be signing up for Medicare Part D in December. Had a heart attack one year ago, did go back to work. Have done some looking, not successfully. Thank you in advance.

In your case you'll probably be better off going with the COBRA plan until next April. The heart attack will keep you from getting any short term policy. You will not be able to sign up for Medicare Part D in December. You can sign up for a Medicare Advantage plan with or without Part D, a Medicare Supplement, and if needed a stand-alone Medicare Part D plan starting in January for an effective date of April 1.
