Medicaid question- please help :)?

Hello everyone! My husband and i are both in our early 20's and both go to school. My husband recently lost his job and Im working full time. We barely make ends meet and cannot afford health/Dental insurance, and my husband needs ALOT of dental work done. We are not concerned about "cosmetic dentistry" we just want to get his mouth healthy. Im basically wondering if there is any program out there that can help? ANy information is appreciated! o and we live in TX. Thank you so much.

You are not eligible for Medicaid unless you have children and are under the poverty level in your state. Also, medicaid does not cover dental work. For some people, if it's Medically Necessary, Medicaid will pay for extractions and dentures but that's it, no fillings, crowns or cleanings. Try contacting your Health Department about dental care your county offers. Unfortunately, a lot of people are in your same position but social services are just not available for dental care like they are for general health care.
