i need to get two wisdom teeth taken out and two teeth on my top row so i can braces but we don't have dental insurance. i know medicaid doesn't cover braces

Not really sure where you're from, but in most states Medicaid does cover braces as long as they are placed prior to your 21st birthday (believe me, I work in an orthodontic office and do the billing every month). The problem is finding an orthodontist (and it must be an orthodontist, not a general dentist) that participates in the medicaid program. Same thing goes for a dentist or an oral surgeon for the extractions. And FYI, for the most part, wisdom teeth have no bearing in orthodontic work. Unless it's something really crazy going on in there. Doesn't matter if they're in or not. But if you're missing lower wisdom teeth and you have your upper wisdom teeth, they should come out in that situation. Good luck!

talk to your dental doctor tell him that you need alternatives for operation if he think that he can control the situation without using operation he wont do any operation..But if the problem have increased very much that means you gotta do the operation...

Hard bump in my mouth...what could it be?
I have a hard bump on the lower part of my mouth sort of like inside my gums on my jaw bone. It's large enough that my cheek looks swollen almost like when I got my wisdom teeth out. There's not color to it or any little bumps just a hard mass inside my gums. What could it be? I'm really worried and I won't have dental insurance for at least another month!

It can be a clogged salivary gland..you can have your dentist look and decide as to what to do, either he can burst it for you or wait for it to burst itself. It is possible it can reappear, chances are it may. Make a appointment to be safe.

Yes, they are a much better alternative to dental insurance. They have no yearly maximum (insurance max at $750-$1500), no deductible (insurance usually has $50 deductible), no waiting periods (insurance waiting periods up to 18 months for major procedures). This website http://www.dpbrokers.com/default.aspx?lo… has the exact same plans available but you have an agent you can call to answer your questions at no additional premium. As a health insurance agent I'm very familiar with dental insurance and dental fee for service plans and my plan is Aetna Dental Access through Dental Plans. One word of caution. Before signing up with any dental plan or dental insurance look at the list of dentists. Call a couple of them to see if they're still accepting the plan and if they're taking new patients.

Can't get wisdom teeth out! What to do!?
I got my braces off a few months ago. I recently went to my orthodontist who told me to get my wisdom teeth out as soon as possible. However, I will not have dental insurance until January 1, 2011. My wisdom teeth already hurt now. Is there anything I can do? What would stop the pain? Will my newly straightened teeth be crooked, now?

Pregnancy: Really really bad toothaches & bleeding gums?? Whats safe?
Ever since I've been pregnant I've gotten the worst toothaches ever and my gums bleed like crazy... I can't bite into an apple without it hurting. I won't be covered by dental insurance for about 15 more days so I need to tough this out. Whats safe to take? I've been trying to go all natural and save the orajel and tylonal for the really bad days. But I also came down with a cold and simply need medication. I don't feel like a good mother to my unborn by taking tylonal every few hours and putting orajel in my mouth... but I can't take all the pain and now I have an unbearable headache. Someone help me please...

You need to sit down and talk to the guy that writes your CAR insurance. Medicare is welfare health insurance for the elderly and disabled. Dental costs more than you get, you're better off without. Generally, you're going to need renters insurance, health insurance and car insurance.
