I got laid off a year ago and still can't find a job. I work random farmhand jobs every now and then to make ends meet. My health insurance from my layoff package is about to expire. My wife is still part time until they decide to hire her full time so she doesn't get any benefits. I have 2 boys that I am worried about if something happens. Is there anyway to find health insurance/ dental. I tried a few places like BC-BS and they wanted an arm and a leg.

I really can't answer your question because I live in Canada & our medical system is different than yours. I just wanted to give you some words of encouragement because I understand the kinds of frustrations you must be feeling. Sometimes we get stuck into a certain way of thinking and we don't realize we are limiting ourselves and keeping the things we want to happen from happening. allstate dental insurance?
my son has an appointment today. should I even bother going if I only have about $50? will they charge me hundreds and take off $20 for that insurance? when I went in for a prescription they charged me $200 and took off $10 for my benefits I just laughed at them and said I can't pay that!!! should I bother going?

You definitely should not just skip out and not go. Why don't you call the dental office and ask them what it should cost for today's visit? Let them know your situation and see what they say. It can't hurt. And depending upon why your son is going today will have something to do with whether or not you should go? No dental insurance?
I have a really badly cracked tooth...its a molar way in the back on the bottom, basically there is nothing left of the tooth on the outside(its very bad!) i have been letting it go, mainly because i have no insurance and I don't make enough to qualify for a payment plan. are there dentists out there that can help me in this situation?

I've been married for 4 years and 9 months, and now I am going to get divorced by mutual agreement. I don't have health insurance but my husband does. After divorce, can I bargain half the time of the duration of the marriage, to keep been covered.

If your husband works for a company with 20 or more employees and you both have group health insurance through the employer than the COBRA laws dictate that you will be eligible for a COBRA group continuation plan for at least 18 months. This is not dependent upon any type of divorce decree this is law so do not feel as if you have to bargain to be able to get onto the COBRA plan. However, you may want to bargain to get him to pay for some of the premium cost as COBRA (and all group health insurance) is rather expensive. If you are somewhat healthy then it almost always makes sense to save some money and purchase a much cheaper individual health insurance plan. i was wondering if anyone know a good one that most take. i have to get a crown and i dont really want to spend 600 just to get one fixed. i'm going to go to iowa and dont know if there is a certain one that only iowa would take,

$600 is a great price for a (porcelain fused to metal) crown. Depending on how much dental work you need, you might be better off just paying out-of-pocket instead of monthly premiums.
