Talk to a local, indepenent agent for quotes. But I've never seen a private dental policy that was "worth" the money, so be sure to read the coverages carefully - between the exclusions, the copays and the wait periods, they ALWAYS end up costing more per month than they pay out.

Where can I go to get dental work without insurance that will be cheap?
I really need some dental work I've been putting off because i don't have insurance right now... plus really can't afford the high cost it will likely entail. My back tooth is starting to drop because a few years ago some crazy Dr. pulled the bottom tooth that it was resting on. I'm really worried and don't know what to do- I don't know if they'll have to pull the tooth now or add a bottom fake tooth so push the top tooth back up into place! Ughhh... Any insight would be great.

How can i get free dental care without having to go to Prison?

Check your medical insurance to see if they cover " Surgical removal of impacted wisdom teeth". Many of them do so, and that will be a big chunk of expense if your wisdom teeth fall in this category. And Care credit is great. Good luck

I need a dentist for free. I have a horrible toothache, but I have no cash and no insurance. Can anyone help?
I have more decay in my mouth than enamel. I'm so ashamed and embarrassed. I have no dental insurance and cannot afford the treatment I need. I used to feel beautiful, now, well, it's hard to feel human when you can't even smile.

Some dentists do a certain percentage of pro-bono work per year, although it's usually for children. Ask if you meet the requirements to receive their pro-bono offer. You may be able to trade your services for treatment. What are your skills? Can you build a website, for example? What can you offer them?

How to find a dental plan for a wisdom tooth that I need cut out now?
I do not have health insurance, or dental, right now because my husband and I are self-employed. I do not qualify for medicaid. I have a wisdom tooth that is very painful and infected and I need it removed very soon. I'm on antibiotics right now to clear up the infection, but I cannot afford the out-of-pocket cost for the surgery to remove it. What are my best options? A discount dental plan, for example... I need some good ideas of what I could do to find assistance in paying for the surgery to remove it.

Care Credit is an organization which will give you a credit card where you pay it back without interest within a certain timeframe. Am I the only one who thinks Dental prosedures are too expensive?
I just got back from my dentist, I need two root canals and two crowns. I have dental insurance but its still going to cost me $1850.00. 2 teeth that much? I know I am lucky to have insurance but still with insurance its too high. This is a good reason American Middle Class never get ahead, we can't afford the heath and dental care.

I had a service call to "clean my pipes" when our sewer line was sluggish. The gentleman was here for FIFTEEN MINUTES. I mean, from the time he rang the doorbell until the time he slammed his van door on his way out of the drive was FIFTEEN MINUTES. He took one cap off a pipe and did the plumber's equivalent of opening up a tooth for root canal with a 3 foot snake. That was all it took. He charged $169.00 for this, which was his minimum charge for a service call. Let's say that was all he could make in an hour, because he has to drive from one location to the next. This money is HIS money, as he answers his own phone and handles all of his own business. He has no salaries to pay. As far as I can see it, he had to pay for gas to get to my house and that was his only variable expense involved in the call. His fixed expenses are for his equipment. In my case, he used a snake that is exactly like one I saw at Home Depot for thirty bucks. Depreciate that over a 7 year period....... Nevermind. You understand what I'm saying. Personally, after 8 years of higher education, I'd like to have a net income close to what the man who opened up my sewer pipe makes per hour.
