I have a friend who is in the US on a H2B work visa, he needs insurance (medical and dental) but since he works at resorts and transfers pending the season (winter he is in Florida, summer he is at a different location) he is unable to get it through an employer.
--------------------
Yep, he's probably not going to find anyone to sell him a REAL policy, anyway, privately. Although someone is probably going to offer to sell you a "plan". Assuming he's got stuff he needs to get checked out, or work done, those are "preexisting conditions" and not covered anyway. Insurance is done on a state by state basis. That "different location" likely he wouldn't be covered in, depending on where it is. He can TRY with a local, independent agent. But I"m guessing, as a traveling entertainer or whatever, and only here on a VISA, he's not going to get anyone wanting to cover him.

I need emergency dental care ASAP! But my insurance doesn't cover dental and I have very limited funds. ?
I live close to Nashville,TN and I have a tooth that is in really really bad condition, needs to be pulled ASAP! Problem is, i'm 22 and my insurance is Americhoice/Tenn-care. And doesn't cover dental. I'm currently unemployed and my fiance makes enough to take care of bills and stuff, but we don't have the money to pay for dental work. I need to know where I can go for such situations, where I can get dental work done without the ungodly prices! Its really severe, and needs taken care of immediately. Please Help!

What types of insurances are there? I know there are dental, life, and vision. What else? Looking for a list.?
I don't want: Health, vehicle, house. I want specifics. What types of health insurance- dental, vision, what else????
--------------------
There's major medical which covers only hospitalization and accidents. Other than that, you have the list already in your question. There isn't any more than that! What are you looking for? There are different types of coverages for health. You can have riders which cover long term health care, such as extended nursing care, or other situations.

Health Insurance Providers for small business under 50 employees in Bergen County, NJ?
I'm looking for recommended health as well as dental insurance providers in Bergen County, NJ for a small company of only 8 employees..... Can you recommend the names of Health as well as Dental Insurance Providers in Bergen County NJ????? Thanks

I was recently trying to do the same for Monmouth county NJ. I was extremely disappointed because the quotes they gave me were not any better to if my employee's would buy their plans individually. I think it were Aetna, Oxford, the third one I don't remember. Plus big chunk of paper work for me. You can try to obtain quotes your self. Maybe they have something better for Bergen County. http://www.healthinsurance.medgrip.com Good luck.

Medical Insurance will not cover Dental Procedure for autistic son?
I have a 7 year old autistic son. He had a cavity and the dentist could not get into his mouth. So she told us to have it pulled. Of course he wouldn't let them in his mouth. They said my insurance would cover the cost of him being put to sleep, they would pull the tooth, do a cleaning, and put on sealant. Now I am receiving bills for this. The dentist put it in as a dental procedure not covered under my dental plan. So i had them put it in as a medical and still nothing. Can someone help me? It was not cheap. I pay a lot of money for insurance and not to get coverage is killing me! Please help. Thank you, Jessica

You should have recieved an EOB (explantion of benefits) explaining what was payed for. If the doctors office submitted the claim with the wrong procedure code then his office is in error. You need to call your dentist tell them that they entered the code in wrong and have them resubmit the claim with the correct procedure code. If they do not fix the problem kindly ask them for a copy of his Treatment plan and a copy of all the work that was completed on your child, then you call your insurance and dispute it, you will have the proof of what was really done. You stated that they said the insurance will cover the cost of him being put to sleep, but did it cover the cost of the extraction as well? You have to make sure you didnt max out on your insurance, if it was maxed then the remaining balance is your responsibility.

No Job, No insurance, but I need dental work done. Are there dentists that will just bill you monthly?
Hi, I don't have a job and I don't have insurance. However, I do need dental work. I'm 23, and I need this work done asap before I start losing my teeth. I've always taken care of them, but I've never been fortunate enough to receive professional care as well. So my situation stands like this: I've no insurance, and I've no job. I can't at this point, take out a line of credit. The best thing for me to do I think is to sign up with a dental plan, go to a dentist, have the dentist make sure he accepts the plan, do the work I need, bill the dental plan, and then bill me the remaining balance the dental plan wont pay. Then I can make monthly payments. Sounds good? I just have no way of paying the lump sum of the procedures nor taking out a credit line. Is my theoy at all plausible? Can a dentist bill me monthly instead of requiring me to come up with all the money upfront? Thanks!! I live in Springfield, Oregon
