I am looking for dental insurance for me and my son. My work doesnt offer dental insurance and I have talked to healthy families about getting my son on a plan and they wont do it cause I have just medical through my work already. I have looked into medical but I beleive I make just a little above their guideline. So im kind of stuck, I make to much to qualify for the programs but not enough to just out right afford it. Can someone point me in a direction of give me some advice to where to look. Thanks.

Dental Insurance covering Vaneers?
I currently have dental insurance but it will not cover vaneers. I had my teeth bonded about 14 years ago and am in need of replacements. Is it possible to obtain an insurance policy on my own (in addition to the one I carry through my work) that will cover vaneers? Even a dental discount program would help out. I am aware of the care credit program but the thought of opening a new credit card doesn't sound appealing. Plus, I am in the process of buying a house and the last thing I need at this point is another line of credit. Any advise is helpful.

check out this website. www.healthsavings.ourperfectcard.com I have had them for over 5 years now, they have helped me save thousands of dollars on my dentistry work. I have insurance also, and some procedures and services are not covered...(i do not why) but when they are not i use my plan as a supplemental. I signed up online and have nothing but good this to say about them.

dental insurance with small copay?
i do not have much money and i cant apply for medicaid because they turn me down. i need dental insurance and fast. BUT i can afford a high priced insurance. I also would like MY copay to be sort of low as i will need extractions, fillings, cleanings, caps, and crowns...I went to the dentist and they said for just my one tooth it will cost $4000 to fix. I obviously can not afford that... I need to know an affordable dental plan for Pennsylvania that has a low copay for myself....thank u in advance

To get a low co-pay, it will cost you quite a bit every month. Thats a tough situation to be in. Try a dental school or even this website www.healthsavings.ourperfectcard.com I signed up online over 5 years ago now for all my dental needs and they have saved me thousands with this very affordable plan. From root canals, braces, extractions, fillings..etc. All services are included in this very affordable plan. They even had it active in 2 hours and was able to use it the very same day.

How much would dental insurance cost for a 26-year old single male?
I have never had any kind of insurance before, except car insurance. My parents always paid for doctor visits/etc. out of pocket because we were fairly well off, and they didn't think it was worth it, or something, I dunno. Anyway, I know nothing about insurance. I very rarely get sick, so I don't see any reason to get full health insurance, but I do want to get dental because they need cleaning and also the two wisdom teeth on top of my mouth have gotten bad because I can't reach them w/ a brush - they're almost completely pushed to the sides of my mouth out of alignment with the rest. I didn't realize they were that bad until I got a dental scaler/pick/mirror combo to try to clean a little myself and saw them. They probably just should be removed, which is why I'm looking at plans. Anyway, how does it work - I pay a price per month and they pay for the dental work, or what? Where is best place to go online for price? Thanks for constructive help.

This really depends on what insurance company and through what plan, such as going through your work to get the coverage. On your own, it might be expensive, not even worth it. If you go through a work plan where the coverage gives you a discount, that might be better. Some health plans already cover dental. Try the links for quotes and comparisons. http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=health% http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=dental%

Question about Dental Insurance?
I am thinking of signing up with AmeriPlan tp help me save on my dental work. Does anyone know how this plan works? Do I have to pay for everything out of pocket first and then later get reimbursed or does it really give you a good discount?
--------------------
AmeriPlan is not an insurance plan, it's a discount plan. You have to go to a participating provider and pay a discounted fee instead of the full fee... make sure there are dentists in your area who participate with AmeriPlan before you sign up. I'd hate to see you have to travel an hour or so to save some money... especially with gas prices so high. :)

Med/Dental Insurance?
I am a full time student, and need med/dental insurance with a very low deductible. I can no longer be on my parent's insurance because the deductible hasn't been paid off, leaving me to very basic dental and medical check ups. If I'm sick, I'm screwed, no coverage. Does anyone know of insurances that are particularly for full time students? This would be a great help. Thanks

Should I get dental insurance or not?
Ok, I am a full time college student with a part-time job. I've needed to have my wisdom teeth taken out for a couple years now, but I don't have dental insurance and I haven't been able to afford it. Well anyway, I called about a year or so ago to different places around where I live to get prices for the procedure without insurance. A few places did it for people without insurance and the cheapest one I remember was 900 dollars, plus 75 dollars for the x-rays. So I have a little bit of money right now, but I don't want to just drop 975 dollars all at once. So what I was thinking is asking if they have a monthly plan I could get on. Like pay a deposit amount and then pay however much each month until it's paid for. Is it likely that they would offer a plan like that?(I know I should call them and I will). Also, someone mentioned to me that I should look into buying dental insurance. Could I find it cheaper if I am a student? And would this even be a good idea just for one procedure? The person that told me about getting insurance said it would make the procedure cheaper. I appreciate any and all help, thank you.
