Ok so my wife got her tooth cut in half by a skateboard flying over a bouncy house while supervising and i just found out like many people that dental isn't covered in tricare its a separate program, i think her nerve is exposed and i don't want to spend 2 grand to get it fixed without insurance, they told me it would be a month before we are covered, does regular tricare cover emergency dental until our regular dental goes through? obviously we don't get paid enough to cover all this ourselves, but i was never told anything about separate dental. you should have gone immediately to the ER. Trcicare would have covered that. now since you have waited, they may not. Tricare covers a very limited amount of certain dental issues.

Dental Crowning to deal with Bruxism?
Hi guys! I have an issue with bruxism. I grind my teeth at night and my teeth are worn own, especially my bottom front row. My cousin thinks it's no big deal and that it's not noticeable.. BUT I NOTICE IT!! I have really good medical insurance through my employer and I want to know if anyone here has dental crowns. I've looked online and it's all advertising for dentists. How do you like them? Do they have that movie star look? How did the procedure go? How is day to day living with them and most importantly, how much did it cost you? Thank you for your answers!!

Crowns normally cost around $850 more or less. If you grind your teeth, the first thing you should look into is a night guard. You can stop wearing down your teeth. Then after that you can look into crowns. :) *I noticed you said Medical Insurance it is Dental Insurance that you need. Not sure if you have it or not.

How to find a good dental plan?
I'm in Arizona and I don't have health insurance including dental. I work part-time so I can't get any benefits from my job. To be honest, I'm so confused by it all. How does someone get dental insurance for themselves? Are there any important things I should be looking out for? Any websites with thorough information. If I need braces, am i looking at a more expensive dental plan?

Insurance - Depending upon the policy: cost $30-$60 per month. You pay a $50 deductible first, they have an annual maximum that they'll pay per year of $750 - $1500, they have a waiting period up to 18 months for major work and then you're paying 50% of the charges. Example - average cost for a root canal in my area is $829. With insurance you pay $414 after paying 18 months of premium (around $800 or $900). Advantage - you can use any dentist with most plans. 3. Discount plans - Cost - $5-$12 per month. No deductible, no annual maximum and no waiting periods. Also, hardly any dentists will accept the plan and when they do you MIGHT get a 10% discount, which is about the same discount you can get by paying cash. Example - average cost for a root canal in my area is $829. With discount plans you pay around $746. Be very wary of these plans because most are scams. The people that sell these plans have little or no knowledge about health & dental insurance and do not need a license to sell them. The plans are not regulated by the state so you have no recourse when you have problems. Some states are starting to ban these plans from being sold. One state because they couldn't find any doctors and only one dentist (who was on probation for unlawful activities). Trying to get on fiance dental insurance but hit a "snag" can anyone help me with this?
My fiance got the ok from HR to put me on his dental insurance as "domestic partner" since we live together. The problem is he STILL had his exwife listed on there too and we did not know it! They have been divorced for over 5 yrs and "he" said he told them and they must have made a mistake. HR took his exwife off NOW but my question is be it his fault, his works or the insurence company is this going to delay me getting coverage? Also how can your exwife be on your insurence for 5 yrs and no one know? I can't call his work as he told me he'll take care of it

Please help me get health and dental insurance?
I am 20 years old and make about $250/week (bi-weekly checks vary from about $420-520 after taxes). I am in desperate need of health insurance and I badly need dental coverage. This is horrible, but I need at least 5 fillings maybe more. I have weak enamel and I am prone to cavities. As you can tell I don't make a hell of a lot of money (and I work almost every day, but of course my hours were recently cut because the owner decided to hire a family member and pay them twice as much to sit on their *** and tell me to do the stuff I already do on my own initiative, then ***** that payroll is too high) I have to pay car insurance and constant car repairs until I can just replace it with one that won't need so much tlc and money. This makes it pretty hard to save when I keep on paying to fix things. I have a phone bill to pay as well and I do not have a house phone so it is necessary to keep in touch with family and work. Please help me figure out how to get the best coverage possible that will be affordable on a teeny budget. I really am in desperate need. Thank you so much!

What is the estimated cost of dental care without dental insurance?
My teeth are causing me a lot of bother, both of the physical kind and the psychological kind. My back molars are rotting and in fact one of my fillings from an older filling fell out so there's a hollow in my tooth. Sometimes I get a dull ache in the side of my face going up to my head on that side of my mouth. I also have sore spots on my teeth on the other side which I primarily chew with. I need major dental care because my teeth are rotting, they look bad, and it affects my confidence. I'm a 23 year old girl just out of college without insurance and this is ruining my life. Please help me out. I need help finding cheap insurance and ways to pay, and an idea of what I will have to do and how much it will cost.

I am trying to find affordable dental insurance in Northern VA that's not with my job. Anybody know any?
I basically maxed out my dental insurance I have with my job because I had my wisdom teeth pulled. I still need different things done like filling cavities and a cap. I need to find another affordable insurance company to sign up for quickly so I do not cause too much harm to my teeth. Ive had painful tooth aches to the point that I have had to get root canals and have teeth pulled so I am really hoping to find something quick before it ever gets that bad. Please help!
