Question on dental filling?

What does it mean "Resin composite-3s,posterior"? Apart from insurance claim my dentist asked me to pay $90. Some of the fillings are free as per my insurance. Is it possible they can put wrong procedure code and eat my money & insurance money? Just curious. Thanks.

The code means a composite (white) filling, 3 surfaces, posterior tooth. I hope they explained the filling and procedure prior to doing the filling. Posterior composite (white) fillings tend to be expensive and the remaining amount may not be covered by your insurance. Call your insurance and ask, they'll know. Dr. Dan
