Cost of wisdom teeth removal?

I don't think my health insurance covers dental. And i had two teeth done from a dentist 6 years ago and have two wisdom left that are starting to bother me. I plan on going to the same dentist but can't remember what i paid. Without coverage and going to a dentist not oral surgeon, what should i expect to pay?

Most dentists in this area charge between $250 and $1000 per tooth, depending on how much bone is covering the teeth still and how difficult they are to remove. Local anesthesia is usually included, but nitrous or sedation usually is not. Sometimes general dentist don't feel comfortable taking out one persons wisdom teeth, but have no problem with others. It really depends how close your nerve is to the roots. Good luck
